Dragon Ball Z Saiyan Space Pod

My take on a Saiyan space pod from DragonBall Z. I have wanted to model one of these for a while now but could never figure out how to get the shape right. Bit playing around and finally got something that I am happy with. The interior is not 100% accurate to the manga/anime but as I said is my own take on it and I'm pretty happy with it.
Also managed to figure out a nice animation sequence for the pod door opening and closing which works really well.
The last couple images are renders from a blender challenge, theme is space so tried to base the background on the interior from one of the main characters spaceships looking out into space. Turned out ok but think I prefer the plane background myself.
