Boat in a Stormy Sea

Short animation of a small boat caught in a storm out at sea. This animation was created following a tutorial on YouTube that covered how to create the effect of a ship floating around on an ocean plane.
The ship model is provided by the tutorial creator so can't take full credit for that, however I did make a few modifications to some of the materials and aspects of the model. Added in a couple little props (the barrels on the ship and the buoy marker out in the distance). Thought it would be fun to include Bruce the great white swimming by the ship and also added in the world’s most well-travelled maintenance worker from mixamo to pilot the ship.
Really wanted to work on my use of sound on this one and think I have added a good selection of sound to help carry the scene. Finally for one last touch I imported the footage into after effects and added the rain effect over the scene which just finished it all off nicely.

EDIT: Made a few little changes to my animation. Updated the bouy model by changing the light and adding some animation to the light flashing on and off. Added in a light fog layer using after effects.
