Learning Blender 2.8 Udemy Course: Robot Project

Recently worked through the Learning Blender 2.8 Udemy Course on Udemy in an attempt to further my skills and learn some new techniques. I have completed the course and here is one of the completed projects I created whilst following the course. I have never really been one for characters and for all that I don’t think I’ll ever do fully fleshed out characters, I’d be very happy getting better at doing this sort of thing, robot characters and this has been a very good start in that endeavour . I have learnt so much doing this project, the modelling of the character, setting up a correct skeleton and rig controls (something I’ve never really done), correctly animating the walk cycle, etc. Have really enjoyed working on this character, hope to develop it a bit and use this as a practice dummy for animations then hopefully use it as a base to create and animate my own robot character.

Quick revisit/edit, changed the shape of his limbs, added a little power bar on his forearm and just for fun added the ironman nano suit chest piece instead of the round chest light that was there.
