I recently created an isometric bowling alley scene in Blender, and it's been a blast getting back into this style of work. It's been a while since I did much modeling, and even longer since I worked on an isometric scene, so it's been refreshing to dive back into something like this.
I've been wanting to create a bowling alley scene for some time, but I struggled with getting the bowling physics right. After watching a tutorial on creating a simple bowling animation, I tweaked it to suit my needs and ended up with a result that works really well. From there, I built out the alley, props, and the rest of the scene to complement the animation setup.
I’m really happy with how everything turned out. It was a fun challenge figuring out the different animated sections, and I enjoy watching the scene over and over, picking out where each animation happens.
I'm hoping to get back into modeling more regularly, though I'm also focusing on my posters and Etsy store. As a little nod to my shop, you can spot my current range of posters decorating the walls of the bowling alley in the scene!
