Treasure Planet

Little treasure planet inspired project that I worked on as part of another project still currently on the go. Treasure Planet has always been one of my favourite films so was fun to make this image inspired by the film. The image was made by layering up a few different objects and with different effects then finaly a little bit of compositing to finish it off. I wanted to capture a few moments of the film, first the large portal that is used to travel across the galaxy and second that moment in the film where they first approach the planet as is appears through mist and asteroids. I think I achieved that look rather well for the most part.
